At Shelving Concepts, progress is moving full steam ahead on our new Sealy facility. Each month brings us closer to having a fully operational site designed to deliver greater efficiency, improved production, and better service for our customers. As of today, we are proud to share several exciting updates about the build, including a closer completion of our powder coat line, new equipment on order, office construction, and civil improvements.
Powder Coat Line Installation Nears Completion
One of the most significant advancements at the new Sealy location is the installation of our state-of-the-art powder coat line. We are pleased to report that 80% of the powder coat line is now in place. This system is a cornerstone of our production process and will greatly enhance the quality and durability of our products.
The powder coat line is equipped with a 140-foot oven designed to cure our shelving products. This oven includes two distinct zones, ensuring that every part we produce receives consistent curing and finishes to the highest standard. Once fully operational, this system will allow us to deliver shelving solutions that not only look great but also stand the test of time.
We are currently awaiting the installation of a 4-inch gas line from the city to power this critical piece of equipment. Once connected, we will begin testing and calibrating the system to prepare for full-scale production.
New Stamping Machines on Order
In addition to the powder coat line, we have also placed orders for new stamping machines. These machines will play a vital role in streamlining our manufacturing process by increasing speed, precision, and consistency. By upgrading to modern stamping equipment, we are investing in the future of Shelving Concepts and ensuring that we can continue meeting customer demands with efficiency and accuracy.
Construction of Administrative and Sales Offices
Another exciting step forward is the construction of our administrative and sales offices. These offices will serve as the hub for our customer service, sales, and administrative teams. Creating a comfortable and efficient workspace for our employees is just as important as upgrading our production floor. This development underscores our commitment to building a facility that supports both our team and our clients.
Civil Plan for Water Drainage
Alongside the structural and equipment updates, we have also implemented a civil plan to manage water drainage around the facility. Our plan ensures that water is properly drained from the lower areas of the property, protecting the building, equipment, and employees from potential flooding issues. This step reflects our dedication to both safety and sustainability as we build the future home of Shelving Concepts.
Looking Ahead
The Sealy build is progressing steadily, and each milestone brings us closer to opening our doors. With the powder coat line nearly complete, stamping machines on the way, and office spaces under construction, we are building a facility designed to serve our customers at the highest level.
We look forward to providing more updates as we move toward completion. The future of Shelving Concepts is bright, and we can’t wait to welcome you to our new Sealy home.
