Industrial Metal Shelving – Low Capacity Options
Not all projects require large-scale capacity shelving. Shelving Concepts offers metal shelving with capacities for an office, school, or even home setting. With our Dixie Shelving line, you can add a durable product to any space on a smaller scale.
Our Industrial Metal Shelving is manufactured here in Houston. We offer a variety of sizes to meet your capacity needs. Our metal shelving comes in two classes, Class 0, and Class 1. Our Class 0 shelving are made with 20-gauge prime cold rolled steel. Our Class 1 shelves are made from 18-gauge prime rolled steel. All shelving and components are powder coated with our signature gray color.
If we are not able to meet your capacity with standard shelving, we provide a reinforcement option. Combined with a class 1 shelf, the number of reinforcements required are based on the capacity level you need. A Class 1-A shelf would require one reinforcement per shelf and a Class II shelf would require 2 reinforcements per shelf.
Our metal shelving comes in a length of 36”, 42”, and 48”, with a depth of 12”, 15”, 18”, 24”, 30”, and 36”. These sizes can accommodate most any project.
Shelving Concepts offers two styles of metal shelving, open and closed. An open style unit comes equipped with posts and X brace style sides and backs. The closed metal shelving comes equipped with posts and metal panels to cover the sides and back of each unit. The wonderful thing about units that share sides and backs, you can purchase one back per two units and one side per two units sharing a side. When contacting a sales rep, this can be determined at the time of requesting a quote for pricing.
Each unit comes with a fixed bottom and top shelf. You will receive nuts and bolts for the top and bottom shelves. Depending on the number of shelves you need per unit, the remaining shelves will have adjustable clips so you can determine the spacing you need for each remaining level.
The height per unit is also adjustable. We offer a 14 gauge cold rolled steel post in the sizes of 73”, 85”, 97”, 109”, 121”, and 145”. Each post is punched on the 1 ½” centers. The posts are powder coated here with our signature gray powder.
